Livin' Life the only way I know how

Hmmm, what do I feel like writing....the weekends aren't long enough, but the weeks seem to be going by pretty fast. Things are pretty good right now and I know I haven't written in this for quite a while. I started a new job, I've dropped about 10 pounds and still going....trying to get sexy before I see my entire family in May for Memorial weekend. Went and saw Wild Hogs with my mom and some of the Trailblazers...Awesome movie!! SOOOO FUNNY!!! Yesterday went to see Preminition with Sandra Bullock, but I think my sugar went low in the middle of the movie making me have cold sweats, dizziness and nauseaness to make me miss about 30-45 minutes of the movie at the end...not to happy about that. I didn't get sick though just didn't want to wonder too far from the bathroom just in case. It was weird, but I felt better after I had some ice cream. Who knows...I am liking my new job so far....totally different than being in a call center and making more money feels good. Hmmm....guess I'll start counting down until next weekend! This is going to be one crazy year!!! My cousin "R" is getting married October 19th...very busy and expensive year we have here! Yeesh! Nitey nite.

Our three weeks is almost up here in sunny south FLA. We just got back from Disneyworld and that was tons of fun. We left Wednesday and came back on Friday all tired out from everything. I still love it here probably because everything is familiar and the same, but I don't think I would ever move back here unless I was offered a really awesome job. Things have changed...for the good and bad. I have changed and I think for the better.

By the time we leave here we will have done everything that I wanted to do on this trip. We went to Miami Metro Zoo and then ate at Hooters by the bay in Bayside, Miami. Then we went to Disneyworld in Orlando, and then Monday we will be heading to Islamorada to the tip of the Florida Keys for the day to relax. I love the Keys and wish I could spend a few days down there, but it is expensive..just like another Disney vacation. That was way expensive too if you do some of everything.

"D" and I are ready to go home to the cold weather and to our own surroundings. I miss my local spots down there and NOTHING CLOSES!!! LOL...I never thought I would like Las Vegas so much but it's good right now. School and friends and my mom are there.

It's funny because I think it was harder to get together with certain people this time than in November...I have no clue why and I understand they have their own lives.......it was really great to see the people I did especially "S"....she's a great friend and we grew up together. Her family knows my family and everybody gets along and we just all have a great deal of fun visiting! LOL She'll be coming to Vegas soon and I can't wait! It'll be a blast!!!!! I wished I could have spent some quality time with "J" but she has a busy job and two kids so I completely understand her business.

I debated on flying home this Wednesday because I have no job to fly back to, but I do have homework waiting for me. "D" will be going right back to daycare and structure will be back in the picture. This was a wonderful month vacation, but we must get back to real life! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! LOL I will be keeping an eye on the weather for Wednesday because if Texas has anything I am not going.....I can't deal with the turbulance like we had coming here. I was almost sick, but at least "D" slept through the whole thing. My two more goals before I leave are to have Chick-fil-a one more time and Wan-Fu my favorite chinese restaurant. Yes, it's all about food! LOL

Last night was awesome....went to dinner with my mom and her friend at the Rio, then headed to "K" friends house party, hung out there for a while then a bunch of us went to a bar right down the street from my house....drank, laughed, danced...that's the right way to start the new year! Good times! I would have taken more pictures if the stupid batteries hadn't died in my camera! Oh well because I know I got some really cute ones when it was working! LOL Today I packed to leave Wednesday, so just a few last minute little things to throw in before we leave for Florida. I am excited, but they sure are long plane rides from here to there! We'll survive, it will be on the way back that will be more difficult unless "D" decides to actually go to sleep...we'll see what happens in three weeks!

Where to begin in the question.....I no longer have a job as of Dec 19th, and things seem to be more busy for me than ever! Christmas was awesome and was really nice even though it was just the three of us. My mom has started seeing a guy, however I am still manless, but I am totally okay with that right now. I am getting control over my own life and making the best of it. I have been busy tying up loose ends before "D" and I leave to go to FLA for three whole weeks!!! I am very excited, but one of these times I am going to take a nice long vacation without a child!!! Oh well....I am his mom, so I guess I have to bring him with me. It will be the first time I have traveled with him alone at this age since before he was little and slept the entire time...that was great!!! When we flew home from FLA back to Vegas he was up the entire time and fell asleep about a half an hour before we landed...what a booger! It should be fine. The last two days here has been so horribly and miserably windy which finally died down last night, and should be nice and calm for the fireworks on the Strip. We will be going to dinner at Buzio's for our third year in a row at the Rio and then my mom and "R" will be staying there to watch the fireworks from the top of their parking garage and I will be venturing to a house party with "K" and "KR" which should be fun. "D" will be spending the night over a friends house so he'll be good too. I am hoping this will be a better year for me with school and finding a job and everything overall. I wish it to be a good year for us all!

Now back to laundry...then I guess I should start laying some clothes out for us since we are leaving Wednesday night......we are going to Disneyworld too while we are there...can't wait! Hope it's not too busy!

"D" and I will be on our way to FLA next week right after New Years....I am excited...a little worried but excited. It's weird being back in the same city as my son's father but not going to see him. I am known all over that town so who knows how I will pull that off....I don't know because I am a nice person, so we'll see. I am not anxious about the weather because it's going to be warm! That means I will need to get out some summer clothes to bring there with us...weird!

We all made out like bandits for Christmas this year...I got a digital camera, Rachel Ray knife set, pajamas, jewelry, a quesadilla maker, and some other little things......."D" got a ton of clothes and toys and a little train set. I got my mom a new tv for her room, some shirts, a calendar with our own pictures in it made through Shutterfly, a gold necklace...and some other things....it went really good!

We'll see how this year goes...hope I find a good job!

It's been a while since I have posted anything, but it just seems lots of stuff has been happening.....my last day at my job will be this coming tuesday after being there for almost exactly 3 years! This has been the longest job I have even been at and I am kind of sad to leave it behind, but since the merger it just seems like everything will be going downhill with that company, so why not take the package and leave with a smile on my face.

We finally got our tree up this weekend after buying it about a week and a half ago. It rained last night for the first time this winter, and literally came with a bang---one HUGE clap of thunder that scared the crap out of me.

Today me, my mom, her friend, and "K" went to see my movie, Eragon! I was so excited because I had read the books and when I heard they were coming out with the movie I freaked!!! So awesome and the graphics with the dragon were great! Absolutly stunning!!! "K" didn't think she was going to like it, but she did and I was glad to hear an opinion from someone who hadn't read the books, but now she wants to read them.

I will be starting back to the gym seriously since I won't be working for a while. I need to lost about 30 pounds by May because I will be seeing my entire family for my cousins graduation from college and high school. It should be awesome!

I have finished my first semester back to college and just waiting for my grade....I hope I passed so I can go to the next one which I am not looking forward to but oh well. The final had everything on it that I wasn't so sure about so I wouldn't be surprised if I had to take it again.

I think that's enough for a while....it'll be my mom, my son and me for this Christmas. Quiet, but we were invited a couple of places so who knows......

My mom started seeing this guy "R" and he really seems to be interested in her and I just hope that everything will work out. She deserves to find a nice guy to be with. Crossing my fingers!

So I got pulled over this morning doing 52 in a 35, and I must commend Las Vegas Police because he DIDN'T give me a ticket. He was an undercover driving one of those dark blue chevy malibu's and just came up to my window and said how fast I was going and to make sure I watch the signs and do the speed limit. He said I am running late for work too, so have a nice day. Thank goodness because I didn't need that crap right before I go out of town either. I almost got a speeding ticket earlier in the week by a motorcycle cop near my work cause I was speeding then too so maybe I should just slow down a little so I don't get a ticket before I leave here!

Two more days! woohoo!!! Working near the airport doesn't help either, it's just been torture! I have class tonight and then going to come home and pack up the little one's clothes and do mine tomorrow, since we aren't going to have much time on Friday to much of anything but pack up the car and leave for the airport. I AM SOOOO EXCITED IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY...I WISH I WASN'T THIS XCITED AND COULD BE A LITTLE BIT MORE CALM, BUT I CAN'T HELP IT!!!

i am leaving for Flrida a week from today!!! I can't wait.....the time has come to start getting everything organized to travel. I keep checking the weather there to see what kind of clothes we need to bring which I already know is nothing compared to what we are wearing right now out here in LV, but it's all good. It's also kind of sad to be excited to go to a place where you know it will rain at least once while you are there. I can't wait!!

My son is also starting basketball today and I can't wait to be the team mommy on the sidelines with the video camera and my mom will be the grandma taking photos while I am recording. Then on tope of that "K" will be there for th support too and it should be soooo cool! I can't wait to see how he likes it. I just hope he enjoys sports and as far as I can tell right now he does like that kind of stuff.

Well, on another note I have strep throat for the second time in a month and not too happy about it, but I made sure to go to the doctor right away and will be all better by the time I leave for FL! All right, I am getting back to work now.....don't want to, but hey, gotta do it!

No I am not counting down until I go to FL! Why would I do that when it'll be the first week off from work I have ever had and actually gotten paid for the entire thing!!! OMG!!! So much to do and so many people to see while I am there that I am going to need a vacation from my vacation!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Made arrangements for my son to spend the night at a friends house and have his first sleep over.....he had a great time at that....my mom had scheduled our condo yard sale for probably the only weekend in Nevada to have record rain on Saturday! Woke up Saturday about 6 a.m. to head outside and start setting up only to be stopped quickly by the thunder and lightning and rain....like why did I bother getting out of bed at ALL! About 8 a.m.--after putzing around---it's raining cats and dogs on our freshly fertilized grass all over the complex and man there is nothing like the smell of freshly rained on cow manuer! YUK!! About 8:15 I hear little taps on the window and noticed it was hailing outside, grabbed the video camera and took a few seconds of footage to save for whenever. The one day of the year we have something planned and it has to rain as much as it does here in one year in just one day, and not even the entire day but just a matter of hours on this Saturday! So since obviously there isn't going to be a yard sale, we decide to take a ride across town (by now the rain has subsided) to pick up my son. We head to the highway and as soon as we get on it was stopped, and took about 20 minutes to get to the next exit to get off. We take some side roads to get further down the highway to get passed what we think is an accident, but only to find out later that a part of the highway was flooded. When pulling into "T"s complex there was SNOW on the ground! Holy crap! At that point I couldn't taking anymore shocks! After all is said and done we finally get home and was so glad to get out of the car we had been sitting in for like over an hour!! Glad we ate lunch before we got all the way home because we all would have been WAY starving!!! My son was being a monster so I was allowed to go hang out for a while with "A" and chill at his house and watch some tv and just relax...very nice actually.
Sunday---got up again early at 7, left the little one sleeping to help my mom set up our table which was one out of about 3..LOL...for the yard sale that started at 8a.m. which thank goodness the little slept in until 9:30, so we were able to get everything set up, chit chat and help a few shoppers that came through. Long story short we made about $70 profit and will be going out to dinner at some point to celebrate. It really went well for us and got rid of many things we didn't need. The rest will be donated to good will or something, but it's NOT coming back in THIS house ever again! That would totally defeat the purpose.
Not looking forward to going back to work on Monday since I had been out sick half the week so should be a long busy day tomorrow! Then math class and possibly the gym, we'll have to see about all that, but I am going to try to lose some more weight before I go HOME!!! Gotta look good!!! Again, can't wait to see everyone!!!
